The path to enlightenment starts with being just as you are. It is also consummated by being just as you are. What lies between these is a great progression discovering how you really are: not as you think, and not as others think, but as you truly are.
Conference call to talk about basic Buddhist principles
June 30, 2019
Here are a few recent calls. These are minimally edited, and may include some background noise.

Here are recordings of a few Buddhist Basics classes at the Billings Dharma Center. These are unedited recordings of discussions led by Yogadhatta with community members around the table to discuss basic principles topic by topic. There are sometimes sound problems, but we’re posting them as-is to make them a available sooner rather than later.
A mere hour of discussion cannot lay out more than a tiny fraction of what these principles tell us about our life, and how we can live in a skillful way. It’s hoped that these introductory discussions will help start your own reflections on the topics.

Why?
The Buddhas’ principles are for everyone everywhere without limitations.
These discussions are creative work done in modern times, and we are responsible for the content. If there are any errors, it’s our responsibility to correct them. If we let the files go all over the web that won’t be possible. Thus, if you feel a need to use these files for something more than just listening, just contact Yogadhatta and discuss the matter.
Yogadhatta is a Lama in the Anuttara Tantra Yogachara system of Buddhism and the Ancient Primordial Dzogchen Order, serving in the Billings (Montana) Dharma Center. Yes, along the way Yogadhatta had many years of training and has been ordained with various titles according to the responsibilities he’s been asked to serve, but in fact all these qualifications are quite insignificant compared to the simple purpose of laying out for you the principles set forth by the Buddhas in as clear and true way as words will allow.
If you are near Billings, please do visit the physical Dharma Center at 741 E. Custer Ave. There are activities there four nights a week at which you interact directly with our Lamas and community members. This website / blog is a means to share our Dharma teaching with those who don’t happen to be nearby. It’s not at all like being there in person, but we can still share a lot.
